Vintage Nichols & Stone Child's Boston Rocker - Black with Gold Stenciling

A charming antique child's Boston rocker by Nichols & Stone, finished in classic black with hand-applied gold stenciling of fruit and leaf motifs across the crest rail, back, and seat. The solid wood construction features a spindle back and gently shaped arms, built to the sturdy standards this Gardner, Massachusetts maker was known for.

Scaled just right for a child at approximately 28" H x 21" L x 16" W, it also makes a wonderful decorative accent in a nursery, entryway, or reading corner. Perfect for holding a stack of books, a quilt, or a favorite teddy bear.

In very good antique condition with honest wear: some paint loss and scuffing along the bottoms of the rockers, a small nick on one arm, and light overall wear consistent with age. Ships carefully wrapped in a heavy box.
