Vintage Duck Buttons - Dark Brown with Gold Duck Inlay, 1 1/4" Shank (Set of 35)
A lot of 35 vintage duck buttons in a rich dark brown with a rustic gold duck inlay design. Though they have the warm look of carved wood, these are glossy molded plastic dating to the 1980s-1990s, finished with a gold-tone shank on the back.
Each button measures approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter with a gently rounded profile about 1/4 inch high. All are new and unused, kept in button boxes in a smoke-free home for roughly 30-40 years.
These come from the stock of Lauber Novelty Button Company, a premier New York City button house founded by Morris Sussal in the 1940s and later run by his sons from a showroom in the garment district until the company closed in 2005. A wonderful find for crafters, quilters, coat makers, and collectors -- quantities are limited and all sales are final.
