Vintage 1980s Toucan Shank Buttons - Lot of 24 (Purple & Blue)

A bright and cheerful lot of 24 vintage 1980s toucan shank buttons from the Lauber Novelty Button Company of New York (originally the Harlem-Adler Company, founded in the 1940s). Each glossy button features a hand-colored tropical toucan in orange, green, yellow, and purple on a cream ground, with clean white backs and a sturdy shank for sewing.

The lot includes 12 buttons with predominantly purple bodies and 12 with medium blue bodies. Each measures approximately 7/8 inch across with a gently rounded profile about 1/4 inch high, making them a perfect statement closure for children's clothing, cardigans, tote bags, or novelty craft projects.

Deadstock and in mint condition, these have been packed away in button boxes in a smoke-free home for over 40 years. Rare and newly to market with no additional buttons of this style available. They ship carefully packed in bags, bubble wrap, and button boxes.
