Vintage 1970s Versace-Style Gold Medusa Starburst Buttons, 1 1/8" D-Shank — Set of 22

A stunning set of 22 vintage designer shank buttons in mint, deadstock condition. Each 1 1/8" button features a bold gold-tone Medusa starburst head with delicate filigree detail, framed by a Greek key/Roman border, finished with a sturdy D-shank back. Circa 1970s and never used.

These come from the private stock of the Susslar family, founders of the Harlem-Adler Button Company and later the Lauber Novelty Button Company in the NYC garment center. For over 50 years the buttons were kept in a smoke-free, climate-controlled room in their original button boxes, and this is the very first time they have been offered for sale.
