A striking set of 15 vintage 1970s shank buttons, each featuring a clear base with a raised gold Medusa face at the center — a look often compared to high-fashion Versace hardware. A bright gold perimeter with a filigree Roman motif frames the design, and at roughly 3/4 inch they sit flat against fabric with a nicely raised head.

These deadstock buttons come from a premier New York City button house founded in the 1940s by Morris Sussal. Known first as the Harlem-Adler Company and later as Lauber Novelty Button Company, the firm supplied high-end wholesale customers and garment manufacturers worldwide from its showroom in the NYC garment district until closing in 2005.

Stored in button boxes for some 40–50 years in a smoke-free home, they remain in mint, unused condition. Ideal for designers, tailors, crafters, and collectors looking to add a bold statement closure to a jacket, blazer, or restoration project. Happy to combine purchases to save on shipping; all sales are final.
