Vintage 1970s-80s Clown in Car Shank Buttons - Lot of 30, 1.5" Glossy Novelty
A charming lot of 30 vintage novelty shank buttons showing a happy clown riding in a car. Dating to the 1970s-80s, each 1 1/2 inch button has a glossy finish over a cream/white base, accented with bright metallic green, red, silver, and blue foil detailing. The backs are plain white with a sturdy shank for easy sewing.
These are true deadstock - never used, packed away in their original button boxes for more than 40 years in a smoke-free home. They come from Lauber Novelty Button Company, a premier New York City button house founded by Morris Sussal in the 1940s that supplied high-end wholesale and branded garment clients until closing in 2005.
Ideal for children's clothing, coats, craft projects, jewelry making, scrapbooking, or adding to a button collection. Quantities are limited and no additional buttons of this style are available. Items ship carefully packed in bags, bubble wrap, and button boxes. All sales are final.
