Rare Vintage Hand-Blown Apothecary Jar with Stopper - "P.P. Cubebae" Thompson Moon & Sun Mark

A rare vintage hand-blown glass apothecary jar with its matching ball stopper, standing 8 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The front carries an original reverse-painted and gilt label reading "P.P. Cubebae" (cubeb pepper), the kind of ornate lettering once found lining the shelves of a working pharmacy.

The base is embossed with the Thompson trademark featuring the distinctive moon and sun logo, a nice detail for collectors of early druggist glass. Stored away for more than fifty years, the jar retains its original dust and patina inside and out.

Condition notes: a hairline is visible on the jar but does not pass through the glass and cannot be felt. A small dirt-filled dimple appears to be a production flaw, and the label shows age wear with some loss. A striking display piece for a shelf, bar, or curiosity cabinet.
