Antique Dresden Porcelain Ring/Dresser Tray - Cobalt Navy & Gold, Hand-Painted Courting Couple

A lovely antique Dresden porcelain dressing tray, measuring roughly 5" x 3". The deep cobalt-navy ground is framed by a gilded scalloped rim and elaborate raised gold scrollwork, giving the little piece all the presence of a much larger work of art.

At the center sits a finely hand-painted cabinet scene of a young girl and boy in a pastoral landscape, rendered with the delicate brushwork Dresden studios are known for. The underside carries the familiar blue Dresden mark alongside an artist's insignia.

Condition is excellent with no noted chips or cracks and bright, unworn gilding. A charming catch-all for rings and small treasures on a vanity, or a display piece for any porcelain collection.
