1962 Popeye Thimble Theatre Sunday Comic Strips by Bud Sagendorf - Lot of 29

A scarce lot of 29 original 1962 Popeye Sunday comic strips from Thimble Theatre, drawn by longtime Popeye artist Bud Sagendorf. The group includes 18 different strips, with duplicates making it easy to frame one and keep another tucked away.

These full-color Sunday pages have survived beautifully for more than 60 years — flat, bright, and kept in a climate-controlled, smoke-free collection. They're a wonderful snapshot of mid-century newspaper comics and the sailor who taught generations "I Yam what I Yam."

This is part of a larger Popeye collection being listed over the coming months, including toys, books, films, games, plush, and apparel. Multiple purchases can be combined into a single shipment to save on freight, and everything is packed carefully for safe arrival.
