Vintage White & Black Crackle Buttons, 5/8" - Lot of 10

A lot of 10 vintage two-hole buttons in crisp white with a bold black crackle web pattern, achieved through the classic veiling technique. Each button measures 5/8" across — the largest of the four sizes offered from this collection — and all are new, unused deadstock dating to the late 1970s and early 1980s.

These came directly from the storied Lauber Novelty Button Company of the NYC garment center, a family business founded by Morris Sussal and later run by his sons, who supplied and custom-made buttons for high-end manufacturers until closing in 2005. Every button in this collection was manufactured before 1985, with many going back to the 1960s and 70s.
