A handsome vintage Schering apothecary mortar, cast with a rich dark bronze/brown finish and embossed on the sides with "Cosmas & Damian 350AD" alongside a large Rx symbol — a nod to the patron saints of pharmacists. The cork-lined bottom is stamped "Schering," confirming its pharmaceutical advertising origins.

It measures roughly 5 inches tall with a 5-inch opening at the top and remains in excellent, like-new condition. Please note this is the mortar only; no pestle is included.
