Vintage Handloomed Lao Silk Table Runner - Red & Gold, 101" x 18"

A stunning one-of-a-kind vintage Lao silk table runner, hand-loomed in rich red with gold, green, and navy patterning. Diamond medallions and intricately woven borders run the length of the piece, finished at both ends with deep red fringe.

Purchased in 1990 from a high-end handicraft shop in Thailand, this runner was never used — it has been kept sealed in a bag in a climate-controlled, smoke-free room ever since. It measures 101" long by 18" wide, plus 4.5" of fringe at each end.

Authentic handloomed textiles of this age and quality are increasingly hard to find. A dramatic centerpiece for a long dining table, sideboard, or as a framed textile art piece.
