Vintage Gold-Plated Raised Eagle Shank Buttons, 1 Inch — Lot of 6

A lot of six vintage gold-plated metal shank buttons featuring a bold raised eagle motif. Each button measures 1 inch across and has real weight to it — solid metal, not plastic or nylon — with the crisp detail and warm plating typical of late 1970s to early 1980s garment-center production.

These came directly from the original manufacturer's deadstock. Morris Sussal founded the Lauber Novelty Button Company in the 1960s after years in the button trade, supplying and customizing buttons for high-end makers; his sons ran the NYC showroom until 2005, when the remaining stock — much of it stored since the 1970s — was set aside. Every button in this collection predates 1985, and many designs are limited and exclusive.

Unused vintage condition with light surface wear and a gentle patina consistent with age (quarter shown for scale). Wonderful for a military-style blazer or coat, and a favorite with crafters who turn them into pendants, bracelets and earrings. Sold as one lot of six pieces; combined shipping available.
