Vintage 1980s Italian Hand-Painted Ceramic Bacchus Wall Mask - Spring, Florence Italy

A charming hand-painted ceramic wall mask brought back from Florence, Italy in the 1980s. The cheerful, smiling face of Bacchus is crowned with a colorful garland of blue, yellow, purple, and pink flowers set among green leaves — a piece collectors often recognize as part of the beloved "4 Seasons" series. This one represents Spring, and its siblings Summer and Fall are also available in the shop.

Each mask was made and painted entirely by hand, so no two are exactly alike. A wire is already attached to the back for easy hanging, making it an instant focal point above a kitchen range, along a covered patio, or tucked into a garden wall. Measures 9" L x 9 1/2" H x 4 1/2" D and is decorative use only.

In very good vintage condition with a small brown speck near the right eye that occurred during the original firing, shown in the photos. Substantial in weight and will be packed with care. From a smoke- and pet-free home.
