Vintage 1980s Holstein Cow Shank Buttons - Lot of 20 (7/8")

A charming lot of 20 vintage 1980s shank buttons, each featuring a raised Holstein cow in black, white, and soft pink on a glossy cream face with a clean white back. They measure approximately 7/8 inch across with a gently rounded profile about 1/4 inch high, making them a playful statement closure for cardigans, children's clothing, quilts, and craft projects.

These are true new old stock, packed away in button boxes for more than 40 years in a smoke-free home. They originate from a premier New York button house founded by Morris Sussal in the 1940s, later known as Lauber Novelty Button Company, which supplied high-end wholesale customers and well-known brands from its garment district showroom until closing in 2005.
