Vintage 1980s Clear Nylon Resin Daisy Shank Buttons - Yellow & Green, Set of 35

A charming set of 35 vintage shank buttons in mint, never-used condition. Each button is molded from clear nylon plastic-resin with a cheerful yellow daisy suspended inside, a white center, and a small fleck of green for a touch of leafy contrast. They measure roughly 1" across and 5/8" high, with smooth, flawless surfaces (the glare in the photos is just the light playing off the clear resin).

Believed to date to the 1980s or earlier, these were most likely custom made for a garment manufacturer — no matching examples have turned up anywhere online. They come from an extensive collection assembled by a premier wholesaler who supplied the New York City garment district beginning in the 1950s, and have been stored in button boxes in a smoke-free, climate-controlled room ever since.
