Vintage 1970s Versace-Style Gold Medusa Starburst Shank Button, 3/4"

A striking vintage designer button from the 1970s, featuring a gold-tone Medusa starburst head surrounded by delicate filigree and framed by a classic Roman (Greek key) border. Measuring 3/4" across with a sturdy D-shank back, it is the kind of statement closure that can transform a blazer, coat, or handbag.

This piece comes from the deadstock inventory of the Lauber Novelty Button Company, founded by Morris Susslar of the original Harlem-Adler Button Company. For over 50 years the family stored these buttons in a smoke-free, climate-controlled room, supplying high-end garment center apparel makers in New York City.

Offered for the first time and exclusive to Dave's Discovery Den. Condition is mint; please note photographs show glare and shadow, as the buttons are far more brilliantly gold in person.
