Vintage 1970s Medusa Face Shank Buttons - 1 inch, Set of 3

A striking set of three vintage 1970s shank buttons featuring a Medusa-style face medallion in silver, set within a clear button ringed by a silver and black filigree perimeter. The look is unmistakably high-fashion — think classic Italian designer hardware — with an antiqued finish that gives them real presence on a coat, jacket, or statement blazer.

Each button measures approximately 1 inch in diameter with a flat profile and plastic shank back. All three are in mint, unused condition, having been stored in button boxes in a smoke-free home for roughly 30 to 40 years.

These come from the stock of a premier New York City button maker founded by Morris Sussal in the 1940s — first the Harlem-Adler Company, later Lauber Novelty Button Company — which supplied and customized buttons for well-known brands worldwide until closing in 2005.
