Vintage 1970s Clear Medusa Face Shank Buttons with Gold Greek Key Rim - 3/4 inch, Lot of 20

A lot of 20 vintage 1970s shank buttons featuring a clear Medusa-style face centered inside a bright gold rim with a filigree Roman/Greek key border. Each plastic button measures approximately 3/4 inch in diameter with a gently rounded profile and a shank back for easy sewing.

These deadstock buttons come from the Lauber Novelty Button Company, founded in New York City in the 1940s by Morris Sussal as the Harlem-Adler Company. The firm supplied high-end wholesale customers and garment manufacturers worldwide from its showroom in the NYC garment district until it closed in 2005. Stored in button boxes in a smoke-free home for 40-50 years, they remain in mint, unused condition.
