Vintage 1970s-80s White & Black Crackle Veiling Buttons - Extra Large 1 3/4" (Lot of 10)

A lot of 10 extra-large vintage buttons in crisp white with a bold black crackle web design, achieved with the classic veiling technique. Each measures a generous 1 3/4" across with a simple two-hole center, making them statement closures for coats, jackets and dramatic handmade garments.

These come straight from the original manufacturer's stock. Morris Sussal founded the Harlem Adler Button Company during WWII and later the Lauber Novelty Button Company, supplying and customizing buttons for high-end makers from a showroom in the NYC garment center. When the family closed the business in 2005, decades of stored deadstock came with it — every button here was made before 1985, with many dating to the 1960s and 70s.

New, unused deadstock condition with the intentional crackle finish. Also a favorite with crafters who repurpose them into pendants, bracelets and earrings. Multiple lots can be combined, and this design is offered in four sizes on the site. All sales are final; questions and extra photos welcome.
