Vintage 1970s-80s White & Black Crackle Veiling Buttons - Extra Large 1 3/4" (Lot of 10)

A lot of 10 extra-large vintage buttons measuring 1 3/4" across, finished in crisp white with a dramatic black crackle web pattern created with the classic veiling technique. Two-hole construction and bold scale make these true statement buttons for coats, jackets, and designer sewing projects.

These are new/unused deadstock from the Lauber Novelty Button Company of New York's garment center. Founded by Morris Sussal, who began in the button trade during WWII with the Harlem Adler Button Company, the firm supplied and customized buttons for high-end manufacturers until it closed in 2005. All pieces were manufactured before 1985, with much of the stock dating to the 1960s and 70s, and many designs are unique or exclusive.
