Vintage 1970s-80s White & Black Crackle Veiling Buttons - Extra Large 1 3/4" (Lot of 10)

A lot of 10 extra-large vintage buttons, each measuring 1 3/4" across, in crisp white with a dramatic black crackle web design achieved through the classic veiling technique. The two-hole design makes them easy to sew, and the oversized scale gives coats, jackets and statement garments an instant vintage-couture look.

These come from late 1970s–early 1980s deadstock purchased directly from the original maker, the Lauber Novelty Button Company of New York City. Founded in the 1960s by Morris Sussal, Lauber supplied and customized buttons for many high-end manufacturers from its showroom in the NYC garment center until the business closed in 2005, leaving behind decades of stored inventory. Every button was manufactured before 1985.
