Vintage 1970s-80s White & Black Crackle Buttons, 5/8" - Lot of 10

A lot of 10 vintage two-hole buttons in crisp white with a striking black crackle "veiling" web pattern, each measuring 5/8" across. This is genuine late 1970s ever used sewn used sold as deadstock, purchased directly from the original manufacturer and stored away for decades.

These come from the legendary Lauber Novelty Button Company collection out of the NYC garment center. Founded by Morris Sussal, who earlier co-ran the Harlem Adler Button Company, Lauber supplied and customized buttons for high-end manufacturers until the family closed the doors in 2005. Everything in this collection was made before 1985, with many pieces dating to the 1960s and 70s.

Perfect for garment sewing, coat and blouse restoration, or crafting them into pendants, bracelets and earrings.
