A set of 15 vintage four-hole buttons in a smoky gray, iridescent mother-of-pearl style plastic. Each 7/8" button has a bright shimmering grey face and a silvery-grey back, with subtle variation from piece to piece that mimics the look of genuine shell.

These are true deadstock from the 1970s-80s, never used and still in mint condition. They come from a premier New York button manufacturer founded in the 1940s by Morris Sussal - known first as the Harlem-Adler Company and later as Lauber Novelty Button Company - which supplied high-end garment makers from its showroom in the NYC garment district until closing in 2005.

Stored for over 40 years in original button boxes in a smoke-free home and shipped carefully packed. A wonderful find for sewists, crafters, and designers looking for coordinated vintage closures. Quantities are limited and all sales are final.
