Vintage 1970s-80s Cream & Navy Carved Leaf Shank Buttons - Lot of 20 (1 inch)
A lot of 20 vintage shank buttons, each 1 inch in diameter, in a soft cream/white finish with a carved dark navy-indigo leaf and floral motif. Dating to the late 1970s through early 1980s, these are unused deadstock acquired directly from the original manufacturer.
They come from the Lauber Novelty Button Company collection, founded by Morris Sussal, a longtime NYC garment-center button dealer whose family business supplied and custom-produced buttons for high-end manufacturers until closing in 2005. Every button in the collection was made before 1985, and many designs are exclusive to Dave's Discovery Den and limited in number.
A favorite with sewists and crafters, these buttons also repurpose beautifully into pendants, bracelets and earrings. A separate 15-piece lot is available, and shipping can be combined on multiple purchases. Questions and additional photos welcome; all sales are final.
