Vintage 1960s GE Show 'N Tell Picturesound Programs - Purple Space Collection (4 pc)

A set of four vintage General Electric Show 'N Tell Picturesound Programs from the 1960s, all from the coveted "dark purple" space and science series. Titles include "How Did the Sun Begin?", "What Keeps The Earth In Orbit?" (two copies), and "The Sun's Family" — a perfect little time capsule of Space Age classroom optimism.

Each program pairs a 7-inch 33 1/3 RPM vinyl disc with a 16mm plastic filmstrip containing 15 images, designed for the GE Show 'N Tell phono-viewer introduced in 1964. As the record played, the viewer's mechanical gear advanced the strip so the pictures matched the narration on the tiny screen. GE issued more than 140 programs covering fairy tales, cartoons, literature, science and space.

Condition is very good to excellent and the programs remain playable again and again — great for collectors, retro display, or anyone who still has a working phono-viewer. Please review the photos and ask any questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns. Fast shipping and careful packing.
