Vintage 1960s GE Show 'N Tell Picturesound Programs - Purple Collection, Set of 2 (Aladdin's Lamp & Alphabet)

A charming pair of vintage General Electric Show 'N Tell Picturesound Programs from the purple series, dating to the 1960s. This set includes "Aladdin's Lamp" and "Alphabet" — one storytime favorite and one classic learning program.

Each program pairs a 7-inch, 33 1/3 RPM vinyl record with a 16mm plastic filmstrip of 15 images, designed for the GE Show 'N Tell phono-viewer introduced in 1964. The viewer advanced the filmstrip mechanically so the pictures matched the narration on its little screen — an early multimedia storytelling toy that still delights collectors and kids alike.

Both programs are in very good to excellent condition with only normal light wear to the paper sleeves, as pictured. A fun, affordable piece of mid-century nostalgia for retro toy collectors or anyone with a working phono-viewer. Additional titles are available.
