Vintage 1960s GE Show 'N Tell Picturesound Program - A Christmas Carol (2 pc Red Collection)

A charming two-piece red set of vintage General Electric Show 'N Tell Picturesound Programs, ST-194 "A Christmas Carol," dating to the 1960s. Each program pairs a 7-inch 33 1/3 RPM vinyl record with a 16mm plastic filmstrip slide key, made for the GE Show 'N Tell phono-viewer that debuted in 1964.

Every filmstrip holds 15 illustrated frames, and the viewer's mechanical gear advanced the images in time with the narration - a clever piece of mid-century home entertainment. GE issued more than 140 titles covering fairy tales, cartoons, classic literature, science, and space exploration, and this holiday Dickens adaptation is one of the most beloved.

Condition is very good to excellent, with sleeves showing light age wear and edge toning as pictured. A nostalgic Christmas display piece or a genuinely fun, replayable program for anyone who still has a working Show 'N Tell.
