Vintage 1957 National Geographic "A Map of the Heavens" Star Chart

A beautiful piece of mid-century cartography, this December 1957 National Geographic "A Map of the Heavens" star chart maps both the northern and southern skies. Constellations are traced across deep celestial blue, with charming illustrations of the planets rounding out the sheet.

The folded map measures roughly 42 x 28 inches and has been kept in a sealed box in a smoke-free home, leaving it in excellent, like-new condition for its age. Framed or simply pinned up, it makes striking wall art for an office, library, or kid's room.
