Rare Vintage 1920s York Glass Company Apothecary Jar with Stopper
A genuinely rare survivor from the early 1920s, this apothecary jar was made by the York Glass Company and carries the YCC logo embossed on the base along with a hexagonal maker's mark on the body. It stands 8 inches tall with its original glass stopper in place and measures 3 inches across the base.
The original pharmacy label is still intact, reading 'MIST: BISM: CO: c PEPS:' with handsome red and gold banding. The kind of detail that rarely survives a century of handling. The jar has been tucked away in storage for more than 50 years and remains unwashed and untouched, exactly as found. There is a minor chip on the inside of the stopper, shown clearly in the photos.
A striking display piece for a collector of antique pharmacy glass, drugstore advertising, or early American bottles. We're happy to wash the jar before shipping if the buyer prefers.
