Pair of Vintage Satsuma Moriage Dragon Vases - Hand Painted, Made in Japan, 7 1/4"

A beautifully matched pair of vintage Japanese Satsuma moriage vases, each standing approximately 7 1/4 inches tall. Sculpted dragons wrap the shoulders as handles, rendered in raised moriage slipwork, while hand-painted panels depict immortals and geisha figures against a deep red-brown ground accented in blue, orange, and green enamels with generous gold gilding.

Both vases carry the pirouette stamp on the underside, marked Made in Japan. They were kept in a display case by their original owner and never used, so they present in excellent, like-new condition with crisp detail and bright gilt.

Displayed as a pair they make a striking mantel, shelf, or curio-cabinet statement. All sales are final; the vases will be packed with heavy padding and bubble wrap for safe shipping. Additional photos available on request.
