Lot of 9 Antique 1920s Silent Movie Star Exhibit Cards / Postcards

A wonderful lot of nine antique exhibit cards (arcade postcards) from the golden age of silent film, dating to the 1920s. These penny-arcade souvenirs were dispensed by vending machines at theaters and amusement parks, making them a charming slice of early Hollywood fan culture.

Stars pictured include child sensation Baby Peggy Montgomery, Douglas MacLean in "Passing Thru" and "The Hottentot," Milton Sills in "The Inferior Sex," Lew Cody, Bert Lytell in "Alias Jimmy Valentine," Jack W. Kerrigan, a blue-tone Universal card with Hoot Gibson and J. Farrell MacDonald, and Jack Daugherty in "The Fighting Ranger."

Condition is used and age-appropriate for century-old paper: toning, soft or nicked corners, light creasing and edge wear, and minor surface marks. All images are clear and every name and title remains legible. Sold together as a lot of nine exactly as shown.
