A striking antique apothecary bottle with a reverse (under-glass) label reading "OL. PICIS L" — the pharmacist's abbreviation for oil of tar. Likely English or French in origin and dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s, it is topped by a beautifully faceted glass stopper that catches the light from every angle.

The jar stands 9 inches tall with a 3 inch bottom diameter, and the stopper measures 2 3/4 inches high. The stopper carries a small imperfection from the original making process, and the label shows wear around the edges while still retaining its gold decorative detail. There are no exterior chips or cracks.

A genuine pharmacy relic that displays wonderfully on a shelf, bar cart, or bathroom counter — a real find for serious collectors of apothecary and drugstore glass.
