Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Green Jade & Silver Dragon Snuff Bottle

A beautiful antique Chinese snuff bottle from the Qing Dynasty, pairing a softly translucent green jade body with an ornate silver frame. The metalwork is finely embossed with a dragon that coils around the vessel, a classic emblem of power and good fortune in Chinese art.

The bottle retains its original jade stopper with cork. While no silver hallmark is present, the color, weight, and warm patina are all consistent with silver. Condition is very good to fine for its age, with light wear to the cork end that still seats securely in the neck.

Snuff bottles like this one were everyday luxuries during the Qing era, made to hold powdered tobacco and often carried as small status pieces. This is one of several snuff bottles being listed, and the only green jade and silver example in the group. Questions are welcome; all sales are final.
