1958 Popeye Thimble Theatre Sunday Comic Strips - Lot of 18 (Tom Sims & Bill Zaboly)

A scarce run of 18 different 1958 Popeye "Thimble Theatre" Sunday newspaper comic strips, drawn by Bill Zaboly and written by Tom Sims. Each full-color Sunday page brings back the spinach-fueled sailor, Olive Oyl, Wimpy and the rest of the gang in classic mid-century newsprint form.

All 18 strips grade Fine: flat, intact, and remarkably well preserved for sheets more than 65 years old, with the light age-toning you'd expect from original newsprint. They display beautifully framed, make a striking grouped wall arrangement, or slot right into an existing comic strip archive.
