1953 Peter Pan Records 'Twas the Night Before Christmas Red Vinyl 78 - Rare Cover

A charming slice of mid-century Christmas nostalgia: this 1953 Peter Pan Records pressing of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" is narrated by Mort Lawrence and directed by Vicky Kasen (X-4 A/B). Pressed on thick red vinyl by Synthetic Plastics Co. of Newark, New Jersey, it still carries the hard-to-find "Merry Christmas" illustrated picture sleeve that collectors chase.

Condition is honest and well-loved. The sleeve shows edge wear, creasing and tears as pictured, with a previous owner's name written in ink on the front. The record itself plays through with some surface scratchiness — exactly what you'd expect from a 70-year-old children's record that got plenty of holiday use.

A great display piece or addition to any vintage holiday and kiddie-record collection. Stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free home and packed carefully for safe arrival.
