1952 Little Golden Record "Turkey in the Straw" / "Oh, Susanna" - Yellow Vinyl 78

A charming piece of mid-century childhood: a 1952 Little Golden Record pressed on bright yellow vinyl, pairing the fiddle-friendly "Turkey in the Straw" with the timeless "Oh, Susanna." Performances come from Michael Stewart, The Sandpipers, and Mitch Miller and Orchestra, and the original paper sleeve still shows the 25-cent price from its Canadian pressing.

The record itself still plays with good sound, with some background scratchiness that's entirely expected of a 78 more than seven decades old. The paper sleeve shows its age: open along one side with a taped split on the bottom edge, some staining on the front, plus bends and a small tear.

A lovely find for collectors of kiddie records, Mitch Miller ephemera, or anyone who grew up spinning these little yellow discs. Great as a framed display piece or a nostalgic addition to a vintage record shelf.
