1940s WWII "Voices of Victory" Cardboard Record - Gem Razors and Blades

A genuine piece of American home front history: a 1940s "Voices of Victory" cardboard record, distributed compliments of Gem Razors and Blades. During WWII, Gem Blade reporters traveled the country making thousands of these free recordings so servicemen and their families could send their voices to one another.

One side is decorated with bright period graphics, a "Buy Bonds / Buy Stamps" border and charming illustrations of servicemen and their families surrounding the Gem label. The reverse shows documentary scenes of the recording campaign in action, making this as much a wartime advertising artifact as a record.

Condition is fair: the laminated cardboard shows grazing and general wear, though the artwork remains good and bright. Please note this record DOES NOT PLAY and no sleeve is included — it is offered as a display and collector's piece. Stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free home.
